根據美國媒體『fantasynews.cbssports.com』的報導，「勇士3A已經釋出旅美投手王建民」，而建仔應該會留在美國尋求機會，暫不考慮返台發展。
勇士3A除了釋出王建民，也釋出了中外野手 Joe Benson。35歲的王建民，自2013年之後就不曾在大聯盟出賽，他本季在勇士3A投62局被擊出96支安打，防禦率6.10，戰績2勝6敗。
王建民去年底與勇士隊簽小聯盟合約，雖獲邀參加大聯盟春訓，但沒有擠上大聯盟的開季名單，而建仔先前曾兩度進入傷兵名單，不過他的整體表現還算穩定，只是勇士3A戰力作調整，因此遭釋出。
